The 2010 Green Party manifesto focused on establishing an alternative to New Labour, being fresh with new ideas to the long established Westminster Parties. Led by Caroline Lucas, then an MEP the Greens manifesto was constructed around five key themes.
The outcome of the General Election saw the election of Lucas as the Green’s first MP, being elected fir Brighton Pavilion, defeating a the Labour Party. The Greens secured an increase in their general vote share.
