Hoping to win votes from the 3 main parties, UKIP launched their manifesto for the 2010 General Election insisting that they’re not a single issue party.

Their main pledge remains as withdrawal from the European Union, membership of which they say costs the UK £120bn per year.

UKIP took 3.1% of the vote but took no seats. Unpopular party leader Lord Pearson stood down as Leader in August 2010 and Nigel Farrage was re-elected in the leadership election.
